Fuel Price Hikes in Algeria: SNAPAP Warns of Serious Social and Economic Consequences

The National Independent Union of Public Administration Employees (SNAPAP) expressed its strong rejection of the decision to raise fuel prices, deeming it a hasty and unjustified measure at a time when the purchasing power of Algerian citizens is declining under the weight of accelerating inflation and a rising cost of living. The union warned of the direct repercussions of this decision on the national economy and public services, particularly the transport and food distribution sectors.
