Statement of solidarity with the Lebanese people

Confederation of Productive Forces Trade Unions COSYFOP It declares its full solidarity with the Lebanese people, workers, and unionists in light of the brutal aggression waged by the Zionist entity, which directly targets the lives of civilians and infrastructure, and exacerbates the suffering of the Lebanese people of all classes.

This brutal aggression is not only a flagrant violation of international law and human rights, but is also a continuation of the Zionist entity's policy of intimidation and destruction aimed at destabilizing Lebanon and undermining the dignity and resolve of its proud people. We, in the Confederation of Trade Unions of Productive Forces, express our strong condemnation of these attacks and affirm our support for the Lebanese people in their legitimate right to defend their land and sovereignty.

We, at the Confederation, stand firmly with the Lebanese workers and unionists who are suffering the repercussions of this brutal aggression. We support them in continuing to defend their rights, despite the harsh conditions imposed on them. We also call on the international community and all trade union and labor organizations to take a firm stance against this aggression and pressure the Zionist entity to immediately halt its military operations.

We call for the provision of all forms of support and relief to the Lebanese people, who are suffering from the effects of war, in addition to the repercussions of the ongoing economic and social crises. We affirm that trade union unity and international solidarity are the means to confront injustice and aggression and strengthen the resilience of peoples in the face of challenges.
