In a moment that reflects the height of the human tragedy and the brutality of the occupation, cameras and eyewitness accounts documented the arrest of Dr. Hussam Abu Safia, director of Kamal Adwan Hospital, amid the rubble of destroyed buildings, a testament to barbarism that knows no bounds. This humiliating scene embodies the true face of the occupation, which does not hesitate to target all symbols of life and humanity in the Gaza Strip.

In this context, the Confederation of Productive Forces Trade Unions announces (COSYFOP) Expresses its full solidarity with the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip and strongly condemns the arbitrary detention of the director of Kamal Adwan Hospital, Dr. Hussam Abu Safia, and all medical personnel detained in the prisons of the Zionist entity. These blatant violations of human rights and the targeting of health workers are unforgivable crimes, adding to the series of genocides being practiced against the people of Gaza under the eyes of the world and international organizations.

The global silence regarding these crimes represents shameful complicity that reinforces the culture of impunity. We therefore call on the international community and human rights organizations to assume their responsibilities in addressing this ongoing injustice. We call on labor unions and human rights organizations around the world to stand up against these criminal practices and work to achieve justice and preserve human dignity.
