The Confederation of Productive Forces Trade Unions (cosyfop<\/a>) With warmest congratulations and blessings to the Association of Contract Teachers in Public Primary Education in Lebanon on the occasion of its obtaining the certificate and experience and its official establishment as an independent union entity on Sunday, September 1, 2024, under the leadership of Dr. Nisreen Shaheen.<\/span><\/p>\n

This remarkable achievement represents the culmination of a long and relentless struggle for legitimate rights, and is a major victory for all contract teachers who form the backbone of public education in Lebanon. These teachers have demonstrated unparalleled courage and determination, setting an example to follow in the struggle for workers' rights.<\/span><\/p>\n

As an independent trade union confederation, we are well aware of the magnitude of the challenges faced by contract teachers and the difficulties they endured. However, thanks to their unity and solidarity, they were able to achieve this historic accomplishment.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The establishment of this association represents an important step towards achieving social justice and equality among all workers in the education sector.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Confederation of Trade Unions of Productive Forces emphasizes the importance of this achievement in strengthening the trade union movement in Lebanon and the Arab world. It calls on all unions to stand in solidarity with the Contract Teachers Association and support its future struggles. It also calls on the Lebanese government to respect the rights of all public sector workers and provide the appropriate conditions for them to fully perform their duties.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Confederation of Productive Forces Trade Unions looks forward to fruitful cooperation with all active trade union forces in the Arab world in order to achieve our common goals: building just and advanced societies that guarantee the rights of all their members.<\/span><\/p>\n

In conclusion, we salute the struggle and strife of the Contract Teachers Association in Lebanon, wishing it every success in its struggle.<\/span><\/p>\n
